Rolling Stones Set To Play For Environmental Group In L.A. Thursday

(2/6/03, 12 p.m. ET) -- The Rolling Stones will play a free concert Thursday (February 6) in Los Angeles for the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
The show, set for the Staples Center, is being staged on behalf of the environmental organization, which is engaged in an ongoing battle against global warming. In a statement, NRDC president John H. Adams said, "The Rolling Stones' commitment will help build unprecedented support for NRDC efforts to fight global warming. The Rolling Stones deserve a standing ovation for putting the environment on center stage."
